Real life doesn’t wait until work is finished

The working day may have an end time. Everyday life doesn’t.

Alongside work sit the appointments, household jobs, care, pets, paperwork, wellbeing and people who rely on us. The details differ from person to person, but the pressure can feel familiar: too much to remember, too many places to look and not enough headspace to work out what would actually help.

Flexible work can make a real difference. But changing where or when we work does not make the rest of life disappear. For many people, work and everyday responsibilities simply have to coexist.

Finding help shouldn’t become another job

The problem isn’t that useful help doesn’t exist. It’s that it is scattered across different industries, websites and platforms—usually organised around what a provider offers, rather than the problem someone is trying to solve.

When you are already carrying a lot, working out where to begin can become another task.

WorkLyfe was created to make that starting point clearer.

Built from lived experience

WorkLyfe grew from the lived experience of a mum working full time while managing children, family responsibilities, appointments, home admin, practical jobs and the invisible list that sits behind everyday life.

It began with a simple question: if useful help already exists, why can it still take so much time and energy to find the right place to start?

That experience is personal, but the problem is much wider. WorkLyfe is being built to support different working lives, households and responsibilities—without assuming that everyone’s version of the juggle looks the same.

Our mission

To make finding help one less thing to juggle.

Work and everyday life come with plenty to think about. Finding useful support shouldn’t add to the load.

We’re building WorkLyfe to bring useful tools, services and support into one place—helping people discover their options and take the next step with greater clarity.

Different working lives. Different everyday needs. A useful place to start.
